Saying Hazel had a rough start in life is an understatement. She was rescued from a Korean meat market and made her way to a U.S. shelter, but she wasn’t out of the woods yet. She had a lot of behavior issues and didn’t trust people. (Can you blame her?) Hazel needed help, so we welcomed her to the Sanctuary in 2018. While she still doesn’t like to be petted, she has come a long way. She even enjoys stroller rides and will take treats from her caregiver’s hand — a huge win for her. Hazel has overcome so much, and we have no doubt she’ll progress more with time and endless amounts of love.
You can support Hazel on her healing journey with the gift of sponsorship.
