Shortly after she turned 2, Birdie developed a spinal condition that left her paralyzed and incontinent. On top of that, the poor girl lost her home, which is how she wound up at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. Thankfully, this condition can be managed with meds. And she now has her own set of wheels to help her get around. Although Birdie may roll instead of stroll, she is always on the move.
