Sandra Farmer I bought two one for my indoor cat and my Feral cat who stays in garage buy goes out every day. Neither cat showed any interest even when I tried to entice with catnip.

Anonymous The cats loved it - but I caught one cat tearing off the outer blue cardboard and swallowing small pieces of it. Since this part of the scratcher is colored (presumably with some sort of dye) - I felt it wasn't safe and had to throw it away. I kept the balls which they play with. So, unfortunately, unless there is some assurance that this product is safe if cats start to ingest any of it, I can't really recommend it - especially for young cats - perhaps an older cat would not try to ingest the cardboard.

Sue S Raieta does not play with toys, except occasionally with a piece of string. I am surprised that she has ignored this scratcher; she usually enjoys all of the scratchers that have been in the house. I should place it in another room; maybe that's the problem.

Gail K My almost 9 year old male who does not have front claws to scratch loves this toy. He gets bored easily, and I needed to find more things for him to do. Despite not having claws, he still consistently plays trying to get the balls and scratches in the middle.
A great choice for an inquisitive and curious cat.
And because it's made with cardboard and paper materials, the bulk of it will be recyclable when it has had it's wear.
I think it's a great choice if you have several cats together or a group of kittens.
